Shopping on-line has changed our lives. At Fauxsters.com your trust and satisfaction is of the utmost importance. Because we respect your privacy, we have instituted policies intended to ensure that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner.

We suggest that you review this Privacy Statement periodically as we may update it from time to time. This policy was last revised on July 1, 2003.

The knowledge that your personal information is both private and secure is important when ordering products via the Internet.  Fauxsters, LLC appreciates your patronage and respects your personal privacy.  We will never share or release your personal information, such as: your name, street address, telephone number, fax, e-mail address or any other personal information without your consent. The personal information that you provide to us is used only to process your order(s), reply to your questions, and to improve your future experiences with our website.

Shopping Safety on the Net

Shopping with Fauxsters, LLC is safe - we provide a secure Internet Credit Card Ordering to our customers for the superior convenience and safety it provides.  When you send your credit card number on our order form to our secure sever, all the information - from your name to your credit card number - is encrypted.  This means that even if someone were able to pick up the transmission (which is very unlikely) all they would get is gibberish.  Did you know that ordering online can be one of the safest ways to use your credit card?  Ordering on the internet is a relatively new way of shopping, and some people worry about the safety of using their credit card numbers or submitting personal information on the web.  Much of this worry is unfounded.  Placing orders with a credit card over the Internet, via a Secure Server which encrypts all your personal and billing information, is one of the safest ways you can use your credit card.  Why, because using the Internet to order by credit card never exposes your number through discarded credit card receipts or carbons.  Your credit card never leaves your possession (like it does in a store or restaurant), so you're in control of who has access to your credit card number.  And, the transmission can't be picked up by baby monitors and scanners, as it could if you placed an order over a cordless or cellular phone.

How do you now your information is secure?

When you see either a solid key icon or a locked padlock icon at the lower portion of your browser window, then your site is secured through Secure Sockets Layer. We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving your information on our site. If you do not see one of these icons, please contact your Internet service provider. When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information, such as financial information, we will redirect you to a secure server and notify you through a pop-up screen on our site.

We have appropriate security measures in place in our facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site so you can feel comfortable and secure.    Please note that e-mail is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers.

Private Information

Your personal information belongs to you and not to Fauxsters, LLC or anyone else.  All your personal information used for ordering, including your username and password, name, contact numbers, credit card number and address, are encrypted through our network using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology as it is transmitted over the Internet, to protect you. This information is encrypted on your computer, sent through the Internet as mixed code and then decoded on our server where it will reside on a secure database and will be accessed only in reference to fulfilling your order(s), and answering your queries. It cannot be read in transit. In all cases, credit card information will be shared with the credit card processor during the purchasing process & procedures.

We will never sell, lend or trade any personal information about our customers with anyone!  Naturally, we hope that you will tell others about us, but we will never give information about you to anyone.   We also ask for day and evening phone numbers and e-mail address so that we can contact you if there is a problem or question regarding your order.

Conflict in terms

It is our goal to make our privacy practices easy to understand. We have created this easy-to-read Privacy Statement with that goal in mind. Some browsers utilize privacy enhancing technology to translate our Privacy Statement into a computer readable format. The technology then requires that the computer format be translated back into human readable format for you to read. This translation back into human readable format is often referred to as a "Policy Summary". It is possible that through these translations, the Policy Summary may unintentionally end up being inconsistent with the Privacy Statement upon which it is based. It might fail to address an issue or it might address an issue not raised in our Privacy Statement. For this reason, you should rely on our Privacy Statement as the most accurate and definitive description of our practices.
